Dog, Fish, Iguana or Mouse, Your Best Bet is Animal House Naturals

Animal House Naturals pet supply store is a bedrock of our community. Having provided the highest quality products at reasonable prices for 38 years, many customers who grew up visiting Animal House Naturals with their parents now stop in with their own children. There’s even a good chance that they would recognize some of the employees they saw in their youth. Lori has been at Animal House Naturals for 15 years, Emily has been on board for 20, Rebecca’s been on and off for 30, and Sue has been a member of the family for 30 years!

A Passion for Pets

The enthusiasm of manager Emily Stoft is palpable. Her genuine smile and friendly nature make me immediately understand why both customers and employees are so loyal to Animal House Naturals. “Our regular customers feel comfortable coming to us with questions, success stories, and when their pet needs major dietary changes,” Emily states. “We are here to help each customer find the best diet for their pet and their budget. The quality of foods and products have come such a long way over the years, and it is really a joy to see the results and benefits in the lives of all the pets that are part of the Animal House Naturals family.”

Specializing in natural and organic pet foods, one might think Animal House Naturals would be pricier than a big-box store or shopping online, but they would be wrong! “We strive to carry the best products available, but also keep customers’ budgets in mind,” Emily asserts. “We stay as competitive as possible, and also offer frequent buyer programs for many brands in the store. These discounts, on top of our regular great prices, make it a win-win. Customers also feel good about supporting an independent local business, and they can even bring their pets in to help shop for a favorite new toy or treat!”

Animal Enrichment

Pet foods and a staff of affable experts are only part of the equation at Animal House Naturals. “Our pet enrichment toys are amazing!” says Emily. “Cats do not just get a ball or a fur mouse to play with anymore. Now there are motion-activated and treat-dispensing toys to keep them active and engaged. Small animals have gone from a little wheel or ball to run in, to having a huge selection of colorful toys and chews for dental health. We even have fun reptile items that help keep the cold-blooded pets entertained. None of them compares, however, to the amazing world of dog toys! One of my favorite parts of this job is having the opportunity to go to trade shows all over the country to explore what’s on the cutting edge.”

“We are always evolving to make sure our customers have the best products on the market,” she continues. Animal House Naturals even makes special ordering a breeze. “Our store has a huge selection, but we can not carry everything, so we encourage customers to let us know if they would like something special. We do our very best to order it and keep it on hand, making the process quick and easy.” No matter what stage of life or health your pet is in, the staff at Animal House Naturals go out of their way to ensure your companion will be happy and healthy. This isn’t just a job for them; it’s a passion.

Adopt a Kitty!

Animal House Naturals was the stage for my recent meet cute. Upon walking in, I was warmly greeted, then gravitated toward the hamster, gerbil, and bunny enclosures. That’s when I saw him: a four-month-old, black kitten reaching his paw out of the cage to request my attention. The adorable little guy had just arrived there that morning, and was sweet and curious as can be. He will no doubt be adopted by the end of the day. Most kitties, brought in from Pinellas County Animal Services, get adopted the very day they arrive at Animal House Naturals. For only a $40 adoption fee, I was tempted to take my new furry friend home with me right then and there! To check out all the new arrivals, follow Animal House Naturals on Facebook or Instagram.
