Fall is finally here, and with it, the return of market season. Opportunities to shop local abound, and we’ve got the scoop so you can #HitTheMarket!
‘Burg-Based Events
St. Petersburg is home to countless festivals, pop-ups and sidewalk sales. Some handmade markets, however, have become staples within the community. We’re thrilled to welcome them.
Saturday Morning Market is back in business for its 18th season. Catch it from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday in the parking lot at Al Lang Stadium, 230 First St. SE. This is one of the largest events of its kind; organizers say more than 10,000 people come out every week to support their 170 rotating vendors. Our favorite things include the huge variety of ready-to-eat foods and fresh flowers.
Indie Flea is back at its flagship location, Green Bench Brewing Co., 1133 Baum Ave. N, from noon to 4 p.m. every first Saturday. It offers more than 100 artisans, vendors, food trucks, mobile boutiques, DJs and more. Expect some of the best vegan and vintage finds in the Tampa Bay area while you enjoy sipping on specialty beers, ciders and meads.
Corey Avenue Sunday Market has returned to St. Pete Beach. Stroll Corey Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays, and meet more than 70 local vendors. Grab your produce for the week, find raw honey, fresh-baked goods and lots of hand crafts. Another perk: You’re only steps from the beach.
Spooktacular Shopping
Celebrate the spooky season with a Halloween-themed market: The St. Pete Craft Heroes will host their fourth annual Hauntizaar from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 19. Two dozen vendors will participate in the free event at Studio@620, 620 First Ave. S. Find event details at craftheroes.com
