From the Museum’s Archives: St. Pete Pier Spa Beach

History always repeats itself. As the City of St. Petersburg builds our new St. Pete Pier district that includes spectacular activities for children, past City leaders had the same plan in mind. This aerial shot of the newly dredged approach to the Million Dollar Pier which opened in 1926, shows a large children’s playground, as well as Spa Pool and Beach. The St. Petersburg Museum of History will remain open during the pier and pier approach construction. While the City builds your future, stop by visit our past!

The St. Petersburg Museum of History is located at 335 2nd Ave NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. For more information about exhibits, hours, and ticket pricing visit SPMOH.com.
