Time To Give the Tanning Spa a Second Look!

Modern Tan Spa is true to its title. This new spot to get your bronze on not only offers state of the art tanning, but also an array of wellness services. The tanning salon has grown up and the result is a luxury experience that leaves you looking and feeling fantastic. Even if you’ve never considered setting foot in a tanning salon, you’ll want to check this place out.

Tanning + Wellness

Owner Shay Ahern has made it her business to exceed expectations. “It is really important to us that you don’t just look your best, but you feel your best,” says Ahern. “By also providing wellness options like the red lamp therapy, hydromassage, and therasauna, we are able to cater to more people and showcase the benefits of simply making time to take care of yourself.”

But a tanning is patently unhealthy, right? Not with the newest, top of the line beds! “By going above and beyond the safety guidelines, indoor tanning is not only very safe, but also offers several benefits. Clients have told us that our beds have done more than just give them a superficial tan; it has also helped with depression, fibromyalgia and other ailments,” Ahern states proudly.

Spray it on me

If you want some color without the tanning bed, spray tanning is for you. No, you won’t come out looking like an orange monster – quite the opposite! Ahern ensures, “We offer both the Mystic Kyss Booth, a private experience, and Evolv (Heated!) Custom Airbrush, done by a professional artist. Spray tanning can be a little intimidating. However it is super easy, quick, and with the new technology, quite natural looking. We also offer an organic option in both the booth and the manual airbrush.” Clearly health, safety and comfort are top concerns.

So what are these wellness services? Ahern talked about two of her favorites. “Red Light therapy helps regenerate and heal many different ailments, but mostly it is used for treatment of your skin. There is no UV light involved, just low level red light – chemical free and non-invasive. It helps improve all-over health and appearance. That includes acne, scars, wrinkles, cellulite, pain and psoriasis.”

“We are most excited about our Wellness Cocoon,” she continues. “It’s a private, dry pod that provides mental and physical benefits. With the use of infrared heat, salt air, and whole body vibration you are able to detox, burn calories, lose weight, alleviate pain, relax and rejuvenate!”
